Graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word with a degree in Business Management. During his three-year tenure with UIW he was on the Mens Basketball team and helped the team reach a National Tournament appearance and win 2 Conference Championships.

Upon graduation, he was hired as Mens Basketball Assistant Coach at Incarnate WordUniversity. In his time as a coach, he was responsible for the administrative duties, recruitment of student athletes, game preparation, academics, and on court development. After a three year coaching tenure with UIW, Jonathan went on to work at the high school level in Fredericksburg Texas. His junior varsity team won district 4 years in a row and helped the varsity reach the playoffs 4 out of 5 years. He is currently an assistant coach at Spring Westfield High School in Houston Texas. His junior varsity has won district 3 times and the varsity reached the playoffs 3 out of 4 years. Two of his former players just finished their high school career and will play at the NCAA division one level next season. Darius McNeill signed with Iowa State and Jase Febres signed with the University of Texas.

In addition to playing and coaching, Coach Cook continues work basketball camps every summer. He has been running camps in central Texas for Lone Star Hoops for the last 15 years. He has also helped run camps for Tony Parker all over Texas and France. He feels like he is living his dream of sharing his basketball experiences with the younger generation and helping kids become better people in the world
